How Far in Advance Should I Book?
Good question! It’s never too early to start looking into stylists for your hair and makeup! The sooner you inquire, the more likely we are to have your wedding date available. We schedule out as far as a year or more in advance in some cases.
How do I Book Locks+Lashes?
In order to secure your wedding date please fill out the contract to the best of you knowledge, sign and return to us. There is a Retainer Fee required to hold your wedding day. It is non refundable and does not get applied toward your final invoice. The Retainer Fee is $50.00 and $100 for holidays/holiday weekend (Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Christmas and New Year’s). Once we receive your contract and retainer fee you are officially scheduled with Locks+Lashes for your wedding day!
Do You Require a Trial Session?
A trial of your hair and/or makeup is not required, but it is recommended. It gives us a chance to meet face to face and go over details and specific looks for your wedding day. Trials can be done anywhere from 1-9 months before your wedding. Trial sessions can be booked at your convenience with your stylist. Please keep in mind that during peak wedding season (April thru October) weekend trials are not available.
Can I Have a Trial Before Booking?
Yes! You are more than welcome to schedule a trial session of your hair and/or makeup prior to completing booking, however your wedding date is not secured until the contract is signed and the Retainer Fee is paid.
Is there a Minimum Number of Services?
We have a minimum of 5 services. If inquiring for less, please talk to your stylist to see if accommodations can be made.
When is Final Payment Due?
Final payment is due 14 days prior to your wedding day. The balance in full can be paid by cash, check or PayPal. There is a 3% service charge with payments paid thru PayPal and credit card. We’ve found this is the most stress free way for you and your ladies. Brides often collect payments due from their bridesmaids/family members a few weeks prior to the big day. Come the day of, you can just focus on being pampered with services and having a fun and stress-free experience.
How Long Does it Take to Get Ready?
Hair and makeup for the bride usually takes around 1- 1/2 hours. We generally schedule anywhere from 30-45 minutes per service for the rest of your bridal party. Timing can vary depending on how dramatic of a makeup look you want and the length and thickness of your hair. Once you provide the time you need to be ready we will make a general schedule or timeline, and figure out the best start time.
Do You Come to Me?
Yes, for your wedding day we travel to your location! Whether you want to get ready at your house, a hotel or venue, we come to you! If you are interested in getting ready at the salon please inquire as to availability with your stylist.
Are there Travel Fees?
There is a travel rate of $1.00 per mile one way for each stylist. If the location is more than hour away and the start time is 8am or earlier, Locks+Lashes may require lodging the night before in addition to the travel fee.
